AC Milan denied this Wednesday the rumors announcing the death of Franco Baresi, its emblematic former captain. The Lombard club confirmed that the former defender is currently going through a difficult period and called for respect for his private life as well as that of his family, while false information quickly circulated on social networks.
“AC Milan denies the false information concerning Franco Baresi which has started to circulate in recent minutes. Franco is going through a difficult and delicate time, and the Club stands firmly by his side and that of his family. We invite everyone to respect their privacy and to refrain from spreading completely unfounded information”wrote AC Milan in its press release.
