“We didn’t succeed in the mission… The days pass but it still hurts. Seeing the disappointment in your eyes is heartbreaking… But I will be forever grateful to have been able to play in my first World Cup and to have represented France. Glory to God indeed. I also believe that “thank you” is not a strong enough word for the coach, the staff and all the people who worked behind the scenes to ensure that we were in the best conditions. We would have liked to give you the best gift for your departure. We would also have liked to offer a big party to all the Blues supporters but that’s how it is. With pride, with faith and with your support, we will rise again”wrote the AS Roma midfielder.
