Author of a double against England during the match for 3rd place in this World Cup (4-6), Kylian Mbappé took control of the ranking of top scorers at the best of times. The captain of the Blues finished his World Cup on Saturday with 10 goals in eight matches. Behind him, Lionel Messi was eight goals before facing Spain in the final this Sunday. To get ahead of his former PSG teammate, La Pulga had to score a hat-trick against La Roja.

A task that the Inter Miami player was not able to accomplish during this 104th and final match of the World Cup which ended in a defeat for the Albiceleste by the narrowest of margins in overtime. Author of a simply exceptional competition, the former FC Barcelona player finished in 2nd place in the scorers’ ranking for the second time in a row, after 2022. As in the previous edition, Kylian Mbappé leaves with the Golden Shoe trophy of the tournament. Scorer against the French team at the very end of the match, Jude Bellingham completes the podium with 7 goals.
