After finally extending Paulo Dybala, AS Roma continues to explore the market in order to strengthen the offensive sector of Gian Piero Gasperini. Having identified several profiles for the wings, the Roman management, led by sporting director Tony D’Amico, is now studying the track leading to Andreas Schjelderup. The Italian coach is still waiting for offensive reinforcements, having recently explained that he wanted to welcome “two players in front” to complete its workforce according to Sky Sport.

Among the options studied, the Benfica winger is therefore on the Giallorossi list. Aged 22 and capable of playing on the left side, the Norwegian international comes out of a remarkable 2026 World Cup with a goal and three assists. Author of a solid season in Portugal with 10 goals and 7 assists in 43 matches in all competitions, Schjelderup had already attracted the attention of Roma during the last winter transfer window. While a departure seemed possible, his double against Real Madrid in the Champions League finally convinced Benfica to bet on him with a contract extension.
