Fabinho has not closed the door on a return to Real Madrid. Without a club since his departure from Al-Ittihad after the end of his contract, the Brazilian midfielder spoke enthusiastically about the possibility of returning to the club which welcomed him when he started in Europe. “Real Madrid!” Who wouldn’t want to play for Real Madrid? A statement which comes as the Madrid club remains attentive to the market to strengthen its midfield.
Trained at Real Madrid, where he played with Castilla after arriving on loan from Rio Ave in 2012, Fabinho maintains a special link with the Spanish club. After a short stint with the Merengues, the Brazilian revealed himself in Monaco before becoming one of the best defensive midfielders in the world with Liverpool, notably winning the Champions League in 2019. Left for Saudi Arabia in 2023 for 46 million euros, he left Al-Ittihad this summer after three seasons and two titles won. Despite his stated desire, a return to Real Madrid would however not currently be studied by Madrid management, who are more focused on reducing their workforce before considering new arrivals.
