Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has spoken to veterans Luka Modric and Toni Kroos about their role this season.

Both players opted to continue signing one-year contract extensions at the club ahead of the new season.

However, Jude Bellingham’s arrival has added a new star to Los Blancos’ engine room, and Kroos and Modric’s respective playing time has diminished.

Modric hasn’t started a single game since the start of the season and Kroos has only started one.

According to brandAncelotti spoke to his veteran stars, concerned about their lack of playing time.

Ancelotti will look to use both players when the schedule changes to two games a week with the Champions League campaign starting next month.
