“Three years ago, I arrived in Newcastle without really knowing what to expect. Today, it’s time to say goodbye and it’s difficult to find the right words. I would first like to thank the club. Thank you to the people who work behind the scenes at the training center every day, and to everyone who welcomed me and made me feel at home from day one. Thank you to the staff and my teammates for believing in me and helping me grow. A special mention to the coach, Eddie, who was a real guide and always supported me throughout this adventure. But above all, I want to speak directly to the supporters. When I went through tough times, you were there. I never felt alone, not for a single day. I felt this support every time I was at St James’ Park. It’s something I will carry with me for the rest of my life. Together, we accomplished something this city has been waiting for decades. That day at Wembley was special; we shared a historic moment. To the supporters who never stopped believing, who never stopped encouraging this club and who were there in the hardest moments: this trophy was for you. It was football that took me to Newcastle. Today, I am leaving again with my wife and our son, born during my stay here. This city has given me much more than football. She gave me a home, memories I will cherish forever, and people I will always be grateful to. Thank you for everything »can we read on his post.
