Barça: Anthony Gordon already destined for hell

Anthony Gordon’s future first steps in the FC Barcelona jersey are already raising concerns across the Channel. In a forum relayed by The Telegraphformer Liverpool player Graeme Souness did not mince his words to comment on the debut of the new Blaugrana winger in this 2026 World Cup. He even openly questions the player’s ability to adapt to the demands of the Barcelona game, believing that his performances remain below expectations.

The former Scottish international did not mince words in his statements. “I understand that FC Barcelona and its supporters are now wondering what they bought”he said, before driving the point home: “if he arrives at Barcelona and plays as conservatively as he did against Croatia and Ghana, he won’t stay in Catalonia for long”. Souness also highlighted the comparison with Lamine Yamal, symbol of Barça’s attacking style, believing that the club’s level of demands could quickly expose the player’s limits.
