In an interview given to The Athleticthe 36-year-old Welshman addressed several subjects, notably the situation of Tottenham, his former club, but also the return of José Mourinho to the Spanish capital. According to Bale, his arrival at Casa Blanca can only be beneficial.
“After having an experienced coach like Carlo Ancelotti, I hope that José (Mourinho) will manage to stabilize the group and get everyone back on the same page. He pushes the players to give the best of themselves and seeks to understand each person to find what motivates them. Sometimes this comes through media pressure, sometimes simply through a hug.
