The table for the round of 16 is gradually taking shape. Four meetings are already known, including two attractive posters.

The draw between Japan and Sweden made two people happy on the night of Thursday to Friday. While the Japanese locked down second place in the group behind the Netherlands, the Scandinavians won their place among the best third-placed teams and therefore their ticket to the round of 16.

If France maintains its first place in Group I, Sweden has a (very) good chance of standing in the way of the Blues on Monday in New York. Japan already knows its opponent. The Blue Samurai will indeed face Brazil and the match between two very playful teams is promising.

As for the Netherlands, they will be treated to a shock at the top against Morocco, semi-finalist of the last World Cup and winner – on the green carpet – of the African Cup of Nations. A poster all the more anticipated as a strong Moroccan community lives in the Netherlands.

Paraguay for Germany?

Note that the winner of this confrontation will then have a good card to play in the round of 16 since they will face the winner of the meeting between South Africa and Canada.

A final quarter-final is known, the one which will pit the United States and Bosnia-Herzegovina against each other

A final poster is almost certain. Coming out first in its group despite its final defeat against Ecuador, Germany has a 99.3% chance of facing Paraguay, in a very favorable tie to emerge among the best thirds after its draw against Australia.
