José Mourinho cannot complain, Real Madrid is in the process of putting together an interesting start to the transfer window for him, to say the least. The Merengues thus completed three files: Denzel Dumfries, Ibrahima Konaté and Bernardo Silva, whom the Special One absolutely wanted in Madrid. The formalizations should not take long, and the Madrilenians have only paid 20 million euros for the three. A sum which corresponds to the release clause of the Dutch full-back, while the French and the Portuguese were at the end of their contracts.
And it’s not over, since the Spanish press is convinced that other players will still arrive, in the defensive sector in particular, where a central defender is still expected. But obviously, Florentino Pérez has not yet forgotten the idea of recruiting a galactic. While the names of Julian Alvarez and Michael Olise have come up quite recurrently in recent days, journalist Miguel Serrano, who works notably for Radio Marca And Onda Ceroconfirmed that the boss of the Spanish capital club wants to sign a very big player.
Mourinho doesn’t want galactic
Pérez therefore intends to strike a big media blow, by enlisting a star who plays in the most advanced positions on the field. However, José Mourinho would not completely agree… According to the journalist, the Portuguese coach believes that a star recruit in attack is not necessary, and that Real Madrid is already well stocked at the forefront. The Lusitano tactician would prefer to spend the potential money intended for the purchase of a galactic on other positions.
While the potential €200 million for a big player is mentioned, Mourinho believes that money would be better spent by signing, for example, two midfielders as well as a quality left-back. A first major disagreement between the president and his coach, but there is no doubt that the two men will manage to find a compromise…
