The Professional Football League has unveiled the complete calendar for the 2026-2027 Ligue 2 season. AS Saint-Étienne is set.

For the second consecutive season, AS Saint-Étienne will play in Ligue 2, after having failed to move up to Ligue 1 at the end of the final of the accession play-offs against OGC Nice (1-4 cumulative score) on May 26 and 29.

While waiting to know if the Greens will have the capacity to return to the elite under the orders of their new coach Ian Cathro, who signed a contract until 2028, the Professional Football League has just revealed the complete calendar for the 2026-2027 financial year.

ASSE will begin its season with a perilous trip to the promoted side, FC Sochaux-Montbéliard, on Saturday August 8, and will close it at home on Saturday May 22 against Pau FC.

The dates of the shocks for ASSE

On the shock side, Sainté will first challenge FC Metz at the Stade Saint-Symphorien on Friday September 18 during the 7th day of the championship, then will host it on Friday February 12 for the 21st day.

The other double confrontation to mark in the calendar will be that against FC Nantes, scheduled for Fridays October 23 and March 12, during the 10th and 25th days of Ligue 2.
