PSG retained their European champion title last weekend after an unbreathable final against Arsenal (1-1, 4-3 tab). Luis Enrique lined up exactly the same starting lineup as against Inter, with one exception, the starting of Matvey Safonov in place of Gianluigi Donnarumma. One year before the end of his contract last year, the Italian, although a great architect of this first C1, was sold to Manchester City.

The Russian took over perfectly even though six months ago, he was only the replacement for Lucas Chevalier, recruited for €40 million a year ago from Lille. The former Krasnodar player took advantage of the Frenchman’s poor performances and his good matches to reverse the trend and obtain tokens of confidence from the staff and his teammates. PSG is convinced and will keep him in the number one position next season, assures The Parisian.
