This is the sensitive issue that the FFF hopes to resolve before the World Cup. As indicated by The Team this week, no agreement has yet been reached between the Blues and the Federation regarding performance bonuses at the World Cup. According to the daily, Philippe Diallo asked the players to agree to lower them due to the cost generated by this World Cup.

Under the influence of captain Kylian Mbappé, the Blues would have expressed their wish to only receive bonuses from the semi-finals, so that their amount would be increased. However, there would not yet be an agreement, any more than on the tense subject of match tickets. The president’s desire to reduce the quota of places per player and per match to 8 (2 free, 6 that players can buy for their loved ones), would not have been digested by the group, reveals The Team This morning.

The FFF wants to close this file by June 10, maximum

Faced with the excitement around the subject, Philippe Diallo broke the silence in the columns of the daily newspaper. “I had an exchange with them (the players). It happened in a good climate. Now I’m waiting for them to come back and let me know their requests so that we can adjust as quickly as possible before we leave for the United States. I made them an offer. I’m not talking about declines or the content of my proposal. Now they are discussing among themselves to see what counter-proposal they might make.”indicates the president of the 3F, adding that he had set June 10 as the final deadline.

Regarding the match places allocated to players, Diallo said: “I don’t want to go into detail. This is a global discussion. We’ll see where it all ends up. From my side, as from that of the players, what must come first is the interest of the France team.” For the head of the Federation, the amounts redistributed by FIFA do not, to date, allow the federations to be positive or even to balance their accounts. Qualification in the semi-finals would be the minimum so that this World Cup does not “cost money” to the FFF.
