While he will not be on the Reds bench next season, Arne Slot sent an open letter to Liverpool supporters to bid farewell to the club, looking back on his two years at the helm of the club. The Dutch coach especially wanted to recall the title won during his first year, won with a large lead in the rankings. In his message, he evokes the intensity of the experience at Anfield, the constant demands of the club, but also the strong emotions experienced with the supporters, particularly during the championship coronation and the celebrations in the streets of the city.

“The bond that unites us goes well beyond football, beyond European evenings under the floodlights at Anfield or the chants of “You’ll Never Walk Alone” sung from the Kop. You immediately put me at ease and helped me progress. It’s something I cherish”declared the 47-year-old coach in particular. A page is turning at Anfield.
