Despite the second consecutive Champions League won on Saturday by PSG, Régis Brouard wonders about the future for the Parisian club.

Paris Saint-Germain reached a new milestone last Saturday, when they won their second Champions League in a row. A year after the historic success against Inter Milan (5-0), this time it was Arsenal who lost in the final against the Parisians (1-1, 4-3 tab). But will Luis Enrique manage to continue his incredible harvest, which he hopes will continue to grow? Some people ask the question.

Coach of a Rouen team which narrowly failed against Laval in its quest to climb to Ligue 2, Régis Brouard was invited to give his point of view. On Sunday, the man who also works as an occasional columnist on the L’Équipe channel, explained that the mission will not be easy for Luis Enrique.

“When we talk about margin on the aspect of the game. The generational problem of today’s young people, who move from one thing to another very quickly, because they have the capacity to quickly understand and do things quickly… The margin, I find that it can be limited. Because they have already been able to do a lot of things, on the mental, technical and tactical aspects. »

PSG intends to strengthen this summer

For Régis Brouard, the potential of the current PSG team would therefore not be very far from being reached. “Being able to repeat that over time, compared to opponents who will surely improve, strengthen (…), I don’t know if the margin is that big. On all these aspects. (…) Where are you going to find the margin for progress in this? »

A first element of the answer could lie at the level of recruitment. After a disappointing 2025 summer transfer window with the arrivals of Lucas Chevalier and Illya Zabarnyi, PSG intends to do better this summer and is already working on several files, including that of the offensive Eli Junior Kroupi or the RB Leipzig player, Yan Diomande.
