There don’t seem to be many secrets in the FC Barcelona locker room. Indeed, Andrea Orlandi, now retired, played three seasons under the Catalan tunic, including two with the reserve team and one within the professional group. In the Spanish club, he notably rubbed shoulders with Ronaldinho, as well as Lionel Messi, who was still young. At this period, the Brazilian and the Argentinian had very different profiles, but it was precisely during these years that cohabitation between the two South Americans began. Now a player agent, Orlandi returned to this era during an interview with the YouTube podcast “HProject” and he spoke about certain situations in the Blaugrana locker room.
“Ronaldinho asked Messi to make him coffee. He said to him, “well, how many World Cups did you play in when you were young?” jokingly. And he made her coffee, huh. But it was a way of keeping him close, of giving him affection, as if to keep him calm, making him understand that he was not yet Ronaldinho.” indicated the former Blaugrana (2005-2007). “There was a connection, in the end, when two players understand each other and see each other on a similar level, the master tries to guide the youngster, and there was really affection. Ronaldinho was affectionate with everyone, but to Messi he said: “one day you will be able to sit at my table”.
