If Neymar was called by Carlo Ancelotti to play in the World Cup, the Brazilian is on the sidelines and the concern is growing.

Now two weeks before the start of the World Cup, which will open on June 11 with the Mexico-South Africa meeting, Brazil launched preparations for the World Cup on Wednesday. And already, all eyes are on Neymar, the surprise guest on the list unveiled this week by Carlo Ancelotti.

Because two days after the announcement of his name in the list of 26 players selected by the former midfielder, the native of Sao Paulo injured his calf with Santos. And since then, the Brazilian’s form has been at the heart of all attention.

“IHe suffers from a slight calf injury, edema. But, according to our forecasts, his development will allow him to be fit next week to join the national team”Rodrigo Zogaib, medical manager of Santos, quickly indicated.

But on Wednesday, until late in the evening, the former Parisian took new exams in the company of Rodrigo Lasmar, the Brazilian selection doctor. And according to Globo Esporte, Neymar appeared worried upon his return to the training center.

Still according to the Brazilian press, the 34-year-old playmaker is already out for the first friendly match against Panama on Sunday, and should also be on the sidelines for the second, against Egypt, on June 6. The situation is such that some imagine Carlo Ancelotti finally failing Neymar as he has the right until the 1er June.

Placed in group C, Brazil will begin its tournament on June 14 against Morocco before continuing on June 20 against Haiti then on the 25 against Scotland.
