Iraola says no to AC Milan and chooses Crystal Palace

He chose to leave Bournemouth after an excellent season ending in 6th place in the Premier League. Andoni Iraola is thus courted by many clubs, from Crystal Palace to AC Milan via Bayer Leverkusen. And according to La Gazzetta dello Sportthe 43-year-old Spanish coach has decided to take over from Oliver Glasner at Crystal Palace, freshly crowned in the Europa Conference League.

The Italian newspaper explains that Iraola would have found the project too important on the side of AC Milan, with an entire sports management to rebuild, no Champions League to play and a workforce which will be turned upside down. Crystal Palace is certainly only 15th in the Premier League, but the London club will offer them a substantial transfer budget, three times higher than that of the Italian club.
