The specialized site Transfermarkt has revealed the market value of the squads of African nations qualified for the 2026 World Cup.

For the first time in the history of the competition, the 2026 World Cup, which will take place from June 11 to July 19, will bring together 48 nations. Among them, we find 10 African selections: DR Congo, Morocco, Egypt, Algeria, Tunisia, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Cape Verde and South Africa.

It remains to be seen whether one of them will be able to bring the African continent a first World Cup. Naturally, the last two finalists of CAN 2025, Senegal and Morocco, seem best placed to create this feat.

Ivory Coast could also have a say. It must be said that the Elephants have arguments to make. They have, in fact, the most expensive squad among the African nations qualified for the World Cup.

Ivory Coast ahead of Morocco and Senegal

The Ivorian squad called up by Emerse Faé is estimated at 515 million euros by the specialist site Transfermarkt. The highest-rated Ivorian player is the nugget from Leipzig, Yan Diomandé (19 years old), whose price is estimated at 75 million euros.

Behind Ivory Coast we find Morocco with a workforce valued at 470 million euros. In third position comes Senegal, whose list for the World Cup is estimated at 463 million euros.
