Selected with Morocco for the 2026 World Cup, Ayyoub Bouaddi has not forgotten his French origins.

It’s hard to dream of anything better for Ayyoub Bouaddi. Barely two weeks after officially making the decision to represent Morocco, to the detriment of France, the midfielder was called up by Mohamed Ouahbi to take part in the 2026 World Cup with the Atlas Lions.

At only 18 years old, the LOSC player will therefore honor his very first selections on the international scene during a major competition, and thus close the door to the Blues and to Zinedine Zidane, strongly anticipated to become the next coach.

A few minutes after the announcement of his summons, the native of Senlis, in Oise, wanted to send a message of thanks to Morocco, but also to France.

“I will always remain proud of my dual culture”

“Proud to be able to represent Morocco in the biggest competitionhe rejoiced on his social networks.
A dream come true, but above all the start of a new stage, with even more work, demands and responsibilities. I am aware of the privilege I have to defend these colors and I will give everything to best represent my country. »

“A thought also for Francecontinues Ayyoub Bouaddi, who wore the tricolor jersey 27 times with the youth teams. My choice in no way takes away the pride and recognition of having been able to wear this jersey as a youth. I am and will always remain proud of my dual culture, my background and my roots. Thank you all for your messages and support. It’s up to us to write the rest. »
