The last few weeks have been eventful to say the least for Aurélien Tchouameni. He was actually involved in a fight in the Merengue locker room, with Fede Valverde as his opponent. Even if it must be emphasized that, in this story, public opinion in Madrid rather sided with the Frenchman, even though it was the Uruguayan who would have taken the highest price, having actually had to go to the hospital to receive some treatment.

Generally speaking, the former Girondins de Bordeaux and AS Monaco player is considered one of the rare Madrid players who will be able to go to the World Cup, then on vacation, with his head held high, since he has been quite good throughout the season. He is indeed part of the very closed circle of rare players spared from criticism in Madrid, alongside Thibaut Courtois in particular. A difficult season on a collective level therefore, but quite satisfying on an individual level for the one who will defend the colors of the Blues in America this summer.

The Red Devils dream of it

But now, the French midfielder is also very coveted in Europe. A few weeks ago, interest from Manchester United was mentioned in the British media. At the start of the week, journalist Fabrizio Romano adds another layer. He says that Tchouameni is quite simply the dream recruit for Manchester United, which is notably looking for a replacement for Casemiro. The French international is considered the ideal player to strengthen the midfielder of the Red Devils who are not giving up on this issue.

However, the operation promises to be particularly difficult, mainly because Real Madrid do not intend to let him slip away. If the possibility of selling him following his altercation had been mentioned by the Spanish media, it is no longer relevant. With a release clause of one billion euros in his contract which expires in 2028, Real Madrid are rather well protected at the moment and are counting on the player to be one of the pillars of the team next season. It remains to be seen whether Manchester United has said its last word…
