This summer, we may hear about Julian Alvarez. The Argentinian striker from Atlético de Madrid is indeed on the shelves of several big European clubs, like FC Barcelona, Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain, considered a favorite in this matter. Other suitors are also likely to come forward in the coming weeks. But what is certain is that Atlético will not let this happen. The Colchoneros are also protected by this clause of 500 million euros and a contract which expires in 2030, which puts the Madrilenians in a position of strength.

The management of the club in the Spanish capital has even set a rather prohibitive price of 150 million euros for the player, who is coming off a rather average season, or at least far from his standards. Enough to push back interested clubs a little, including Barça, which does not have the means to align. Marca also confirms contacts between Deco and Atlético, while Mikel Arteta would also have come to the news for Arsenal.

Alvarez is in no hurry

As confirmed by the Spanish newspaper, Luis Enrique also sent a message to the player. But above all, what the Iberian publication tells us is that AtlĂ©tico de Madrid is convinced that it is the player’s agent who is doing the forcing. The player would therefore not particularly want to leave, or at least force a departure, and would not have yet expressed his desire to do so in private. So his agent might be forcing things a little.

Fernando Hidalgo actually only has the Argentinian in his list of clients, and therefore only depends on him to make money. Hence his desire to see him change clubs, while Alvarez does not necessarily want to leave the Metropolitano and Diego Simeone. However, he had publicly opened the door to a departure in the spring, but would not have gone any further. To be continued…
