José Mourinho at Real Madrid is the story of a return that clearly divides. Florentino Pérez and his trusted men thus bet on the Special One to straighten out the club and restore a little order in a locker room that was chaotic to say the least, but it is a choice which is far from unanimous in Madrid, where many members have not forgotten the numerous controversies and the many concerns which marked the first adventure of the Soft at the Bernabéu.

However, while everything seemed to be complete, there are a few small problems in this file…
Mourinho will be more expensive than expected
As indicated A.S.Mourinho’s arrival will be considerably delayed. First, by the electoral process launched in Madrid, which prevents the current president, Florentino Pérez, from appointing a coach. We will therefore have to wait at least 2 weeks, while the elections pass, to be able to appoint Mourinho. And that’s if Pérez is re-elected obviously. But above all, the Spanish media explains that once these elections are over, Mourinho’s release clause of 7 million euros will no longer be valid, since it expires on May 26. Benfica will therefore be able to demand even more money from Real Madrid, and this is obviously the plan of the Lisbon leaders.
Real Madrid will therefore have to pay more than expected. A delay which also spoils the transfer window plans of Mourinho, who still cannot make decisions, and who risks seeing certain avenues slip under his nose and engage with other clubs. A.S. even talks about “vital weeks”during which the Special One and Real Madrid will therefore not be able to really work or move forward. Not an ideal situation…
