Two OGC Nice players will miss the Coupe de France final against RC Lens this Friday evening (9 p.m.).

A funny final awaits RC Lens and OGC Nice this Friday evening at the Stade de France. On the one hand, the Lensois dream of winning the first Coupe de France in their history, and of crowning with a trophy an exceptional season marked by a second place in the Ligue 1 standings synonymous with qualification for the next Champions League.

On the other hand, the people of Nice could experience an incredible scenario for the 2026-2027 financial year. In fact, they are still not guaranteed to remain in the elite, and are preparing to play in the play-offs against AS Saint-Étienne on May 26 and 29. The club could then qualify for the Europa League in the event of a victory… while playing in Ligue 2.

While waiting to know the winner, the Aiglons have revealed their group for the final. Two important players are missing: Salis Abdul Samed and Tanguy Ndombele. The two midfielders were dismissed by Claude Puel.

Abdul Samed sanctioned

The former Lensois, who arrived this summer on the CĂ´te d’Azur, is the subject of a sanction from his trainer. According to
RMC Sport, “the tone rose in the locker room after the Metz match (0-0) on Sunday” between the two men.

The Ghanaian, replacing at kick-off, would have criticized the tactician for not being able to take part in the match. He would have trained alone this week.
