Present in the mixed zone at the PSG Campus after the session open to the media, Nuno Mendes was reassuring regarding his physical state ten days before the Champions League final against Arsenal. The Portuguese full-back, seen only during part of the collective training, assured that he felt good after having been able to take advantage of several days to recover and physically manage this end of the season. Very calm in front of journalists, the Parisian defender explained that his partial participation in today’s session was simply linked to the program planned by the technical and medical staff.

I feel good. I had time to rest, take care of myself and today, I feel good. There are still days to rest and do everything I have to do to perform well, that’s part of the training today. Today I didn’t have much to do, so that’s it.» The Portuguese also spoke about the state of mind of the Parisian group before this new major European meeting, emphasizing the collective motivation which currently reigns in the PSG locker room. “We are motivated. I think it’s a source of pride to be in the Champions League final twice in a row. The team is good. I think my teammates are motivated too. So I think the team spirit is at its maximum.»
