It was an outing which did not go unnoticed and which made the Parisian supporters tremble. This Sunday, if PSG lost the last day of Ligue 1 against Paris FC (2-1), at the final whistle, all we were talking about was Ousmane Dembélé. Starting at kick-off, the Frenchman went off injured after 27 minutes of play. Something to worry about a few days before the Champions League final against Arsenal. But very quickly, the various media reassured about the nature of his injury and the PSG press release seemed reassuring.

“Released as a precaution during last night’s match against Paris FC due to muscular discomfort in his right calf, Ousmane Dembélé will remain in treatment over the coming days,” explained the PSG press release. This Thursday, like Achraf Hakimi, the French international (58 caps, 7 goals) was not present at collective training. Enough to get people talking about their fitness.

Ousmane Dembélé reassures

But in an interview with RMC, Ousmane Dembélé spoke about his injury. “It’s going very well. I had a little scare against Paris FC but it’s okay and it will make it for the final. Be 100% for the final? Yes, yes, I think, yes it will. I have no doubt about that, I hope to be on the ground on May 30. I have had so many small scares or big injuries in my career, whether here at PSG or even before, especially with the big deadlines coming up, especially this final, I preferred to stop and above all not take any risks.

A break from the silence which should provide reassurance a few days before the long-awaited final. In 10 days, PSG should therefore be able to count on its Ballon d’Or and probably as a holder. A necessarily important presence for Luis Enrique who has transformed the Frenchman for almost two years now. Ousmane Dembélé will be there!
