FC Barcelona is still eyeing Alessandro Bastoni, while Inter Milan would like to include a Blaugrana executive in the transaction.

Barely the season over for Inter Milan, just crowned Italian champion and winner of the Cup against Lazio Rome (0-2) last week, it is now time for the summer transfer window, with several hot issues awaiting the club.

On the bench first, everything suggests that Christian Chivu will extend until 2028. The Romanian was convincing on the national scene, even if he was in very difficulty in the Champions League with an elimination in the round of 16 against the surprise of the season, Bodo/Glimt (cumulative score 2-5).

Once the officialization has been made, it will now be a question for the Nerazzurri to concentrate on the players, with a transfer window which promises to be eventful. Both in terms of arrivals and departures, with in particular a very pronounced interest from FC Barcelona for Alessandro Bastoni.

A Bastoni-Araujo exchange?

The central defender wants to join Catalonia, while Inter Milan still hopes to keep him. In the event of departure, the team would then think of Ronald Araujo, owned by Barça, according to the Corriere dello Sport. An exchange between the two executives would even be under study on the Barcelona side, given the high financial demands of the Milanese.

More than 60 million euros are being demanded in order to sell the Italian captain. The Uruguayan, no longer really established by Hansi Flick and estimated at 20 million euros not Transfermarktcould then act as a bargaining chip by lowering the transaction price. A bold but clever plan to say the least on the part of the Blaugrana, still in the grip of financial difficulties.
