The day after the last day of Ligue 1, an OM player announced his departure.

It was expected, it’s now official. Loaned last summer by Inter Milan, Benjamin Pavard will not extend his stay in Marseille. The 30-year-old French international posted a message on his Instagram account this Monday to announce his departure.

A page is turning today with OM. Wearing this jersey will remain a strong experience in my career and in my life. I have always tried to give my all on the pitch and represent this club with respect and commitment. I leave with a lot of emotions, lessons and the memory of a locker room that remained united until the end”wrote the 2018 world champion.

And to conclude his message: “ Thank you to the club, the staff, my teammates and all those who have been behind us this season. Good luck to OM for the future. »

What future for Pavard?

His season at OM will not leave fans with great memories. Despite a very promising start, Benjamin Pavard completely foundered, like other executives of the team.

Olympique de Marseille has therefore decided not to exercise the purchase option of 15 million euros included in its loan. The former Bavarian will therefore return to Inter Milan, where he still has a two-year contract. It remains to be seen whether he will be kept by the Nerazzurri or whether he will be pushed out.
