Paris Saint-Germain concluded its Ligue 1 season with a defeat against Paris FC (2-1), this Sunday at Jean-Bouin. Already crowned champion after its success in Lens in the middle of the week, the Parisian club was surprised in the final moments by a particularly inspired neighbor.
From the first minutes, Antoine Kombouaré’s men imposed intense pressure and put a reworked PSG in difficulty. Matvey Safonov had to work in front of Willem Geubbels, while Bradley Barcola responded timidly for the visitors after a breakthrough on the left. Despite a slight increase in power from Luis Enrique’s players throughout the first act, PSG especially lost big with the premature exit of Ousmane Dembélé, replaced in the 28th minute.
Paris FC rewarded
Upon returning from the locker room, the French champion quickly found the fault. Well served after work from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and a cross from Fabian Ruiz, Bradley Barcola finished at the far post to open the scoring in the 50th minute. More calm afterwards, PSG controlled the pace of the match more without really trying to accelerate.
At the end of the match, the locals first equalized in a confusing phase, before tipping the match into added time. In a quick transition, Paris FC punished PSG in a totally stunning finale, sealing a prestigious victory against the French champion.
