PL: Manchester United dominates Nottingham Forest and validates its place on the podium

On the occasion of the 37th day of the Premier League, Manchester United wanted to continue their good momentum after having validated their return to the Champions League. At Old Trafford, Michael Karmic’s men quickly took control against a Nottingham Forest team in difficulty this season and only 16th before this meeting. Luke Shaw opened the scoring in the 5th minute, ideally launching the Red Devils into this controlled game in the first half.

Returning from the locker room, Morato revived the visitors by equalizing in the 53rd minute, before Matheus Cunha immediately gave Manchester United the lead two minutes later (2-1). In the process, Bruno Fernandes set a new record for assists in a Premier League season thanks to a perfect offering for Bryan Mbeumo, author of the 3-1 goal. But as is often the case in England, the suspense remained total until the end since Morgan Gibbs-White reduced the gap in the 78th minute, without preventing Mancunian success (3-2). In the standings, United remain on the podium and will end their season in 3rd place.
