While Lucas Chevalier is going through a particularly difficult season, marked by strong competition in the goalkeeper hierarchy at PSG and an injury which deprives him of the trip against Paris FC this Sunday evening, his sporting situation continues to raise questions. Gradually excluded from his coach’s plans in favor of Safonov, the goalkeeper also sees the 2026 World Cup slipping away from him. Present at a press conference this Saturday, Luis Enrique nevertheless refused to go into details concerning the individual case of his goalkeeper.
The Spanish coach was content to stay on a collective line, avoiding any details on the state of health or the immediate future of Lucas Chevalier: “Now is not the time to talk about players individually. We are a team focused on the last matches. We have a Ligue 1 match that is useful for the Champions League. It’s time to stay focused. Tomorrow will be a real test of what we are looking for as a team. The individual situation is not more important than the team. Two matches, one match to prepare for the final and the final. This is our goal”.
