Leading his fourth World Cup as coach, the man who was quarter-finalist in 2014, winner in 2018 and finalist in 2022 dreams of a magnificent journey to end his 14-year adventure at the head of the Blues. Risser, Lacroix and Mateta as surprises, no Camavinga

So out of the 26 players called for the 2022 World Cup, only eleven are making the trip for this World Cup scheduled for Canada, the United States and Mexico. We find there Jules Koundé, William Saliba, Dayo Upamecano, Lucas Hernandez, Théo Hernandez, Ibrahima Konaté, Aurélien Tchouaméni, Adrien Rabiot, Kylian Mbappé, Ousmane Dembélé and Marcus Thuram. To these players were added new executives who established themselves in four years.

In goals, Mike Maignan will be there as will Manu KonĂ© in the midfield or even Rayan Cherki, Michael Olise, Bradley Barcola and DĂ©sirĂ© DouĂ©. World champion in 2018 and injured in 2022, N’Golo KantĂ© will be one of the few who can dream of a second star with Kylian MbappĂ©, Lucas Hernandez and Ousmane DembĂ©lĂ©. Finally, we find some surprises in this list with the return of Jean-Philippe Mateta in attack, Maxence Lacroix in defense and Lens striker Robin Risser as third goalkeeper.
