For several weeks, Real Madrid has looked more like a traveling circus than a football team capable of performing. Beaten soundly during this Tuesday’s Clasico, the Merengues said goodbye to the title and will experience their first white season since the 2020-21 vintage. A sad reality which inevitably raises questions. These last few days have been very agitated with the confusion in the locker room, the revelations from the Spanish press about the authority of Alvaro Arbeloa and the strange behavior of Kylian Mbappé. A worrying reality which questions Samuel Umtiti.

Speaking to RMC, the former OL and Barça defender expressed his incomprehension about this grotesque end to the season: “you feel like there’s no team. Everyone plays how they want, everyone does what they want and no one is there to have their teammate’s back. In this team, things are not going well. We will have to make choices and change that because they cannot have two blank seasons in a row and that is not normal for a team like Real Madrid. I don’t know Aurélien personally, but I know that he is very calm. We know that in a locker room, a lot of things happen and that’s normal. But normally all that stays in the locker room. They lost control in the game, there is a base to rebuild”
