Ousmane Dembélé was voted best player in Ligue 1 after a remarkable season in the colors of Paris Saint-Germain, ahead of Mason Greenwood (OM), Nuno Mendes (PSG), Florian Thauvin (Lens) and Vitinha (PSG). Already a third award for the reigning Ballon d’Or, who appears in the XI in the season and won the prize for the best goal of the season. The winner of the evening wanted to thank everyone for this season, before a big Champions League final which awaits him on May 30, against Arsenal, then a World Cup to win with the Blues.

“It’s nice to win this kind of trophy, it’s an individual title. I owe it to the entire Paris Saint-Germain club. I have exceptional teammates, three or four would also have deserved to win it. We have to stay focused with the Champions League final and the France team. It’s not every day that we play a World Cup, we will try to go to the end. We are not 100% champions, we will have to finish the season well, even if the deadline is May 30. We will prepare before the Champions League party, we hope (…) I thank my family, the players, the staff and Luis Enrique, he is truly an exceptional coach. And Vitinha too, he asked me to pay homage to him. It’s an exceptional team, they would have deserved this trophy, but with a goal scored… (laughs)”he blurted.
