Already rewarded last year, Désiré Doué keeps his trophy for best hope during this UNFP ceremony. A distinction which confirms the meteoric rise of the young Paris Saint-Germain player, who this season has become one of the strong faces of the championship thanks to his consistency, his offensive impact and his maturity despite his young age. Very smiling when receiving his trophy, the Parisian delivered a long statement with ambition, gratitude and focus already turned towards the end of PSG’s still very busy season:

I am still a hope. I am very happy to receive this trophy. Ligue 1 is a very tough championship. There is a lot of talent, a lot of young talent, but also a lot of very good players. And I think that being nominated in a category is already very good. Afterwards, of course I have ambition and my objective is to go for even more trophies, first collective, and the individual trophies will come later, I think. But regularity, consistency, daily work, I think that from there will flow all the others, all the other good aspects. I have been fulfilled and for a long time, even in the months when I scored a little less, I was always very happy, very happy to play football first of all. I am flourishing here at Paris Saint-Germain. I am very happy. We have an exciting end to the season. We will have a Champions League final to play, two matches which remain in Ligue 1 as well“.
