They agreed on a one-year extension, pushing back the end of the commitment from 2027 to 2028. An additional optional year was also included, which could take the agreement until 2029 in the event of objectives being achieved, either national or European titles. Club president Joan Laporta and sporting director Deco remain silent, but the trend is now towards an imminent formalization, even if no immediate signing is planned.
