Victim of an injury to the tendon of the rectus femoris muscle of his right leg, Ferland Mendy was announced away from the field for a period of one year. In the end, the French side of Real Madrid will return much earlier.

Marca announces that the former Lyonnais was successfully operated on in France by the authority on football operations, Doctor Bertrand Sonnery-Cottet.
