A week after his first start of the season with AS Monaco, Paul Pogba returns to his team’s bench for the clash against Losc, this Sunday as part of the penultimate day of Ligue 1.

Relaunched by a victory in Metz (1-2), AS Monaco, 6th in Ligue 1, can achieve a huge blow in the race for qualification in the Champions League when Losc, 4th in the standings, has four more points, this Sunday, for the penultimate day. This Ligue 1 shock will begin without Paul Pogba, who starts on the sidelines.

The 2018 world champion played his sixth meeting with the Monegasques last week and made his first start, but, lacking in legs, he was unconvincing in the defensive midfielder position alongside Lamine Camara. Pogba, aged 33, came off in the 58th minute of the match.

Aladji Bamba starts in midfield, with Aleksandr Golovin and Maghnes Akliouche supporting Folarin Balogun in the 3-4-2-1 attacking trio. In defense, Wout Faes starts again on the bench. We also find Eric Dier or Ansu Fati on the Monaco bench.

Pogba and Giroud substitutes

On the Lille side, Matias Fernandez-Pardo is again aligned at the forefront by Bruno Genesio, supported by Ngal’ayel Mukau, Hakon Haraldsson and Félix Correia. Ethan Mbappé, Gaëtan Perrin, Osmane Sahraoui and Olivier Giroud are the offensive options present on the bench.
