The absence of Kylian Mbappé from the Madrid squad for the Clásico has nothing to do with the latest controversies to which the striker has been the subject.

Kylian Mbappé is not part of the Madrid group which will face FC Barcelona this Sunday evening at Camp Nou, on the occasion of the 35th day of La Liga. An unpleasant surprise since he had participated normally in training on Thursday and Friday.

According to Marcathe French striker felt discomfort in his hamstrings during the last five minutes of the latest session. The captain of the Blues then chose to immediately interrupt it, leaving his partners in the process.

At the end of last month, Kylian Mbappé was injured during the draw against Real Betis (1-1). Real Madrid then announced that he was suffering from a semi-tendinosus muscle injury in his left leg.

Mbappé, a complicated end of the season

The Merengue club did not then communicate a precise deadline concerning the absence of its star player. However, this type of injury generally requires between two and twelve weeks of recovery depending on its severity.

Despite a still impressive season in terms of individual statistics (41 goals in as many matches), the former Paris Saint-Germain player is not spared from criticism. The French international is even considered by many supporters as the main responsible for the crisis that Real Madrid is going through.
