Paris Saint-Germain is on track to have another exceptional season. Leader of Ligue 1 with three points ahead before welcoming Brest this Sunday evening, the capital club is in an ideal position to win a new French champion title. But that’s not all. On May 30, Luis Enrique’s flock will try to win a second Champions League in their history. This will require getting rid of Arsenal. For this already anticipated meeting, PSG hopes to have all its weapons at its disposal and we cannot say that this is currently the case…

This Saturday morning, the reigning European champions announced that several players were suffering physically. While Matvey Safonov is affected by persistent calf pain, Willian Pacho, Nuno Mendes and Warren Zaire-Emery have been added to the injured list. As a reminder, Ndjantou, Chevalier and Hakimi have been unavailable for several days. Present at a press conference, Luis Enrique logically took stock of the fitness of his troops.

Luis Enrique reassures but…

“We always try to do the best thing for the player. Each case is different. I seek to win but also to protect the health of the players. There are differences between them. There are injured”first recognized the Parisian coach before being reassuring. “There is no serious problem (for the injured, editor’s note). It shows the level of intensity we had to overcome.”. More than real physical problems, these new injuries would therefore be directly linked to the double confrontation against Bayern, which logically demanded an extreme level of intensity from the Parisians.

Serenely, Luis Enrique – who revealed that Titis will start against the Brestois – nevertheless ended his intervention by admitting that the management of his workforce in this final sprint would be decisive in hoping to claim the scalp of the Gunners within a few days. “To get to the final, you have to have competitive minutes. But it presents risks. You have to see what minute is needed for each player. The calendar allows us to do so”. The whole point is there.
