The controversy is growing at Real Madrid. The tension rose a notch Thursday in training between Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni, after a sweep from the Uruguayan midfielder on his French teammate. The two players then exchanged heated insults before a fight broke out, forcing several partners to intervene to separate them.
In the confusion, Valverde fell heavily to the ground. The player split his head open and lost consciousness for a few seconds before being taken to hospital. In Spain, the Madrid captain is now being singled out. According to The Athleticit is indeed the Uruguayan who would be at the origin of the incident which occurred on Thursday.
However, the two midfielders should not escape sanctions. According to El PaísReal Madrid is considering a heavy financial sanction against the two players, without imposing a sporting sanction.
A financial sanction
The club has also opened an internal disciplinary procedure.
“No deadline has been set for the resolution of this procedure, but the seriousness of the facts pushes the managers of Real Madrid to impose a substantial fine on the players”specifies the Spanish daily.
Aurélien Tchouaméni will therefore be available for the Clasico against FC Barcelona, Sunday at 9 p.m. On the other hand, Federico Valverde will be absent. Victim of head trauma after his fall, the Uruguayan must respect the protocol linked to concussions, which requires between ten and fourteen days of rest, as indicated by the Madrid club in a medical press release published Thursday.
