Real Madrid broke its silence this Thursday evening following the fight involving Aurélien Tchouameni and Federico Valverde after today’s training. The Spanish press revealed in the afternoon that the two players had come to blows the day after a first quarrel that was close to degenerating. The Uruguayan thus refused to shake his teammate’s hand, before accusing him throughout the session of having leaked to the press the details of their altercation the day before, which the Frenchman denied outright.

The number 8 merengue pushed his teammate’s anger to the extreme, going so far as to try to injure him during the session. At the end of training, Tchouameni would have tried to put water in his wine, but his captain, aggressive, did not have the same intentions. The shots finally went off in the locker room despite attempts by certain teammates to calm things down. Tchouameni allegedly delivered a violent punch to Valverde’s face, who fell to the ground and was subsequently taken to hospital. The Uruguayan lost consciousness and then had to be sutured.

Big sanctions could fall

This Thursday evening, Real Madrid confirmed the incident without going into further details. The Merengue club published a press release announcing the opening of a disciplinary procedure against its two players, who could receive serious sanctions when light is shed internally on the circumstances of this incident. A few minutes later, the Merengue club published a new press release to give news of Valverde, a priori much more damaged than his teammate.

The results of the tests taken by Valverde did indeed reveal a head trauma, forcing him to observe a rest period equivalent to two weeks, or a little less. “Following the examinations carried out today on our player Fede Valverde by the Real Madrid medical services, a head trauma was diagnosed. Valverde is at home in good health and will have to rest for 10 to 14 days, in accordance with the medical protocols relating to this diagnosis.indicates Real Madrid. Valverde will obviously be absent for the Clasico against Barça this weekend.
