Ligue 1+, price increase confirmed

Subscription to Ligue 1+ will cost more during the 2026-2027 season. Exclusive offer required.

To benefit from access to Ligue 1+ antennas today, you must pay a minimum of 14.99 euros. This is to see eight of the nine posters on the program for each of the championship days. From next season, beIN Sports will no longer have the rights to the ninth and final match (generally that of Saturday 5 p.m.) and the exclusivity of Ligue 1+ will inevitably have a cost.

Hearing before the Senate this Wednesday, Nicolas de Tavernost, the general director of LFP Media, manager of the platform dedicated to the French football elite, confirmed the upcoming increase in the subscription price. Without however specifying the extent. The latest reports indicate that a ticket costs around 20 euros per month for the entirety of Ligue 1.

A new program schedule

After a year of operation, the results are not great despite the million subscribers (or even 1.1 million according to the former boss of M6) combined. The person concerned admits “ relatively low yields currently », i.e. 150 million euros in turnover and a budget barely reduced to 100 million to replenish the coffers of the clubs concerned. “ We hope to distribute an additional 100 million euros to them next season », nevertheless underlines Nicolas de Tavernost.

To do this, Ligue 1+ is targeting 1.3 million followers during the 2026-2027 financial year. With a new program schedule which will see the multiplex with three Sunday afternoon meetings switch to Saturday evening. For championship days always launched on Friday and punctuated on Sunday evening in prime time.
