The end of the season is particularly chaotic at Real Madrid. Like Xabi Alonso before him this season, Alvaro Arbeola is not able to manage a team destabilized by the team’s star attackers, Kylian Mbappé, Vinicius and to a lesser extent Jude Bellingham, and by a locker room disturbed by many discontents. Discontents are daily. When Antonio Rüdiger doesn’t freak out against a teammate, some players have complaints with the coach.
After Raul Asencio, unhappy with his playing time as he made catastrophic errors during the season, it was Dani Ceballos who clashed with Alvaro Arbeloa during an interview last week. Exasperated, the former Arsenal player asked his coach to no longer have contact with him, as recounted Marca.
Ceballos on the start, finally!
Not used since February 21 and an entry into play against Osasuna, the Spanish international midfielder was not included on the scoresheet for the match against Real Betis (1-1), the day after the discussion, last Friday in Seville. The Real coach has been including young players from Castilla for several weeks at the expense of Ceballos, who now expects to no longer be called up for matches.
Ceballos has 22 appearances in all competitions this season, without any decisive action to his name. His last one dates back to December 2023 against Union Berlin (in the Champions League).
At 29 years old, the midfielder who arrived in 2017 should leave Casa Blanca during the next offseason. He is still under contract until 2027. As a reminder, the player trained at Betis refused to join OM last summer, uninterested in the idea of playing in Ligue 1 (and in C1 with the Phocaeans) in order to relaunch his career and have a chance to play in the 2026 World Cup.
