Between Paris Saint-Germain and FC Barcelona, the rivalry has long gone beyond the field, particularly on the transfer market. The symbol remains the resounding departure of Neymar in 2017 for 222 million euros, a historic blow for the Catalan club.
More recently, the Dro Fernandez case has reignited tensions. Unlike Neymar, already a superstar, the young 18-year-old talent had not yet confirmed at the highest level, but was among the great hopes of La Masia. Promised for gradual integration under the orders of Hansi Flick, he finally chose to join PSG, to everyone’s surprise.
Barcelona’s response was not long in coming. According to The ParisianBarça is now interested in David Boly, a young 17-year-old right back trained in Paris. Already seen in the pro group led by Luis Enrique, he participated in training in October before being called up in November to face Olympique Lyonnais in Ligue 1.
David Boly in the sights of FC Barcelona
If he did not come into play during this meeting, nor in the following matches against HAC, Monaco or Rennes, he experienced his first minutes in December against Fontenay in the Coupe de France (29 minutes), before leaving due to injury. Since then, he has played mainly with the youth teams, where he continues to show himself, particularly in the Youth League.
With 45 appearances in all competitions this season (1 assist), Boly is already attracting the attention of many recruiters. Barça is one of the clubs seduced by his profile, considered one of the most promising in his position in Europe. The fact remains that PSG keeps control in this matter. To hope to attract the young defender, the Blaugranas will have to negotiate with a Parisian club reluctant to sell off one of its most followed hopes.
