Mason Greenwood’s future at OM seems increasingly uncertain. In fact, certain groups are interested in the attacker’s file.

In the summer of 2024, Pablo Longoria’s Olympique de Marseille decides to take the plunge by enlisting Mason Greenwood. Ignoring the sulphurous past of the man who then belonged to Manchester United, the former boss of OM went bankrupt by recruiting him for 26 million euros. Two years later, Mason Greenwood could leave La Canebière.

As various media have reported, a certain unease seems to have set in between the twenty-four-year-old offensive player and his hierarchy. Certain tensions linked to a supposed lack of involvement would also pit him against different teammates. In the meantime, Greewood has still scored twenty-five goals and offered ten assists in forty-two matches this season, in all competitions.

And obviously, this arouses desire, or at least the interest of certain groups. In Serie A for example, Juventus is considering the possibility of recruiting the England international. It is also not new that Greenwood’s profile appeals to Turin decision-makers who have been observing him since 2023.

Juventus don’t forget Mason Greenwood

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the idea of bringing in the striker has not been abandoned by the “Old Lady” who could thus return to the charge this summer. If Olympique de Marseille were to miss out on qualifying for the next Champions League, Mason Greenwood’s desire to leave could well push OM to part with him. The player’s market value has doubled since his arrival in Marseille and is now between fifty and fifty-five million euros.

The Italian media explained that Juventus could, for example, offer Edon Zhegrova in addition to a few million euros to try to convince OM to accept a “deal”. Other candidates could also come out of the woodwork during the summer transfer window. It therefore remains to be seen how the situation of a player whose contract runs until 2029 with Marseille will evolve.
