In November 2024, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi closed the debate on
RMC. Guest in Rothen ignitesthe president of Paris Saint-Germain had noted the possibility of leaving the Parc des Princes, due to lack of agreement with Anne Hidalgo. Since then, several alternatives have been studied, notably in Massy or Ris-Orangis.
But the issue changed dimension with the arrival of Emmanuel Grégoire at Paris town hall. Determined to relaunch discussions, he quickly reestablished dialogue with Parisian leaders and is now optimistic about a favorable outcome. Invited in turn in Rothen igniteshe even blurted out: “There is a 99.9% chance that PSG will stay at the Parc des Princes”.
“sale is one of the possibilities”
Without going into details, the mayor confirms that the option of a sale is now clearly on the table. “We left on very solid foundations for discussion. Yes, selling is one of the possibilities”he explained, while recalling that the process will have to be validated at several levels, between the town hall, the Ministry of the Economy and the Council of Paris.
There remains the question of price, on which Emmanuel Grégoire remains unclear. It evokes a very broad valuation, conditioned by the future use of the site. “It’s worth between zero and a billion euros. The Parc des Princes is an area, an area. If we destroyed it and transformed it into a real estate program, it would be worth a billion euros. So obviously we are not going to sell on just any conditions and we are going to set requirements, conditions. Whatever happens in the future, it must remain a football stadium for PSG. This secures the future of the Parc des Princes as a sporting destination, but it loses value. That’s what the discussions are all about.”concluded the mayor.
