The Red Devils quickly took matters into their own hands. Casemiro opened the scoring in the 11th minute with an uncrossed header, before Benjamin Sesko doubled the lead just before half-time, served in the area by Fernandes, author of his 19th assist of the season in the league (2-0, 43rd).
Upon returning from the locker room, the London club had a burst of pride. Already threatening during the last quarter of an hour of the first act, Brentford accelerated and came up against a great Senne Lammens.
