This Saturday, the afternoon multiplex in the Premier League promised to be very lively. For Tottenham, traveling to bottom side Wolverhampton, it was vital to win to continue to believe in maintaining their position. A victory all the more necessary as Nottingham Forest had crushed Sunderland the day before (0-5). To do this, Roberto De Zerbi fielded a competitive eleven and Tottenham had control of possession. On the other hand, a lack of clear chances prevented the visitors from taking the advantage in the first half. In the second half, the London club continued to accelerate. Despite some dangerous defensive situations, it was Tottenham who had the opportunity to change the game, despite the worrying injury to Xavi Simons. Finally, Tottenham managed to find the fault at the very end of the game. From a well-taken corner, Palhinha took advantage of a missed shot from Richarlison to finish at point blank range (0-1, 82nd). Combative to the end, De Zerbi’s men left the Molineux Stadium with three sluggish, but oh so important, points. The Spurs also won their first match in 2026.

However, this was not enough to get out of the red zone. Indeed, at the same time, West Ham won at home against Everton. In a balanced match, the Hammers scored first thanks to Tomas Soucek after returning from the locker room. Finally, West Ham thought they were scuttling at the very end of the match with the equalizer from Dewsbury-Hall (1-1, 88th). Finally, it was Callum Wilson who allowed the Londoners to snatch victory after a crazy end to the match. With this victory, West Ham remains 17th and remains two points ahead of Tottenham. In the last match of the afternoon, Liverpool had to win against Crystal Palace. After a match controlled from start to finish, the Reds offered themselves Palace. Alexander Isak (1-0, 35th), for his 3rd goal of the season, and Andy Robertson (2-0, 40th) allowed Liverpool to have a good first period. Despite the bizarre goal from Munoz, who took advantage of the injury to Woodman, the Reds goalkeeper, to finish in the empty goal (2-1, 71st), it was ultimately the much-maligned Florian Wirtz who sealed his team’s success at the very end of the match (3-1, 90+5th). With this success, Liverpool returns to the level of Aston Villa and Manchester United in fourth place.

The results from 4 p.m.:

Wolverhampton 0-1 Tottenham : Palhinha (82nd)

West Ham 2-1 Everton: Soucek (51st), Wilson (90+3rd) / Dewsbury-Hall (88th)

Liverpool 3-1 Crystal Palace: Isak (35th), Robertson (40th), Wirtz (90+5th) / Munoz (71st)
